Intertroton Bumper Paint (Structure Paint for Plastics) is a one-component acrylic-cellulose lacquer supplied in a 400ml aerosol, designed for refinishing plastic car parts such as bumpers, mouldings and mirrors. It dries to a matt finish in black or grey and is quick and easy to apply.
The short drying time and good adhesion make it well suited to bumper and trim repairs, and it can be sprayed directly onto plastic surfaces without a primer. The finish is resistant to scratches, impacts, chemicals and weather conditions. It has no adhesion to polyethylene (PE), so it should not be used on PE plastics.
Surfaces must be carefully degreased and cleaned before painting, and warming the part to approximately 50°C helps remove silicone contamination. Shake the can for 2 minutes, spray from 25 to 30cm and apply two thin coats with 5 to 10 minutes between coats. Best applied at 15 to 25°C, with a dust-dry time of approximately 15 minutes at 20°C.
